Laura's Bio

Laura Derocher is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, speaker, sound healer and interfaith minister of spiritual peacemaking.
Laura draws on decades of musical theater and cabaret performance to create her unique, uplifting performances. A former corporate business consultant and trainer, Laura models her message in her inspirational concerts: follow your bliss to fulfill the Great Work you came to do. Our “Great Work” is both our inner development (learning to love and forgive, unveiling our true nature) as well as our outer service to others and our collective evolution.

Laura has provided keynote “Concert Talks” at national conferences. She has sung at some of the largest spiritual centers across the country including Agape in L.A., Mile Hi Church in Denver and Unity in Chicago. Laura has provided singing, song leading and vocal toning to co-create events with such influential authors and speakers as Jean Houston, Mary Manin Morrissey, Stephen Simon and Alan Cohen.

Formerly on staff with international peace troubadour James Twyman and his Beloved Community, Laura coached 40 seminarians worldwide in a two-year Masters Degree program in Spiritual Peacemaking. During that process, Laura earned her M. Div. and became ordained as an interfaith minister.

A board member of the Positive Music Association, Laura and her cohorts are working to get Poz Music recognized as its own genre within the music industry. In this way, more people can be exposed to the transformative power of positive messages wrapped in melodies.
